The Computer Engineering Know-how program prepares graduates for careers in maintaining, manufacturing integration and support of pc programs. Toys and video games, key elements of play, have evolved from home made trinkets to extremely engineered objects in a multi-billion-dollar trade. Students discover the connections between know-how and play, specifically the advantages, drawbacks and moral implications of toy and game design. Case studies permit college students to contemplate familial, cultural, sociological, and different influences upon toy and recreation design over the past century. Via dialogue, evaluation and workshops, college students move towards designing their own toy or game, or modifying an present one.
